ABOUT
Within her studio practice Roo works predominately with female portraiture, inspired by Antique photographs and historical portrait paintings. Investigating beauty ideals, aging and youth, creating with timelines in mind, often repurposing Antique found items such as compact mirrors, jewellery boxes and gloves.
Roo has created art installations, making use of Vintage and Antique items, combining animation and audio. (Arts Council funded)
Roo also produces murals for interior and exterior walls.
Original works have regularly sold at major exhibitions such as Affordable Art Fair.
